I have already shared the snacks I experienced at the souvenir shop area of the Mazaar (mausoleum) of Lalan Shah at Cheuria, Kushtia. And, as I said, here are the pictures of the mausoleum itself. Lalan Shah was a local singer. He used to composed all his songs by himself and those songs are famous as Lalan Giti (songs of Lalan). Today children and adults both get academic education to learn Lalan giti.

At the mausoleum there are graves of many other Baul (singers of Lalan giti). There are museum and residential facilities for the baul. People not only from all around the country, but also from abroad come to visit the mausoleum every year.

Enjoy some of the pictures of my first visit there. Unfortunately, I reached there during almost evening. So couldn’t take the daytime pictures. And, also couldn’t capture the souvenir market completely. But I wish to do that next time.

Till then, follow the blog for more.
